PROJECT IDEAS: End of gender based violence against people with disabilities.

Although Vietnam has expressed the concern and acted to promote gender equality and to end violence against women by ratifying the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and implementing the program on supporting to people with disabilities in the period 2012 – 2020. However, the issue of violence against women still exists in many places, according to a national study on violence against women in Vietnam in 2010, 31.5 percent of ever-married women were reported having experience of physical violence. This issue often occurs to disadvantaged groups, especially the disabled group, so the CHD is working on a project to address the problem of gender-based violence against people with disabilities in Vietnam.
