Currently, motorbikes are still the main means of transportation for Vietnamese people, with about 77 million registered vehicles (2024 data), motorbikes are involved in roughly 70% of traffic accidents. Improving traffic safety for motorbikes will contribute to improving traffick safety in Vietnam.
In order to systematize information and enhance solutions to improve traffic safety for motorbikes in Vietnam’s conditions, the Center for Health Consulting and Community Development (CHD) in collaboration with the Transport Strategy and Development Institute (TDSI) conduct an Review of policies, regulations, and solutions for motorcycle traffic safety in Vietnam.
