POSCO and CHD fulfill social responsibilities for 200 workers.

POSCO (POSCO E&C) and Center for Health Consultation and Community Development (CHD) have regularly conducted the communication event on HIV/AIDS and STIs in the last 4 months for almost 200 officials and worker from project “Hanoi Pilot Urban Railway Project, section of Nhon – Hanoi railway station” in order to fulfill their social responsibilities and provide necessary knowledge to protect workers’ health.

In the morning of 23^rd March, at POSCO’s office, No.1 Le Duc Tho Str, the third monthly communication event was conducted for workers from subcontractor Incico and subcontractor Hai Anh. In the event, workers have received informative lectures about HIV/AIDS and STIs along with free condoms and leaflets that have information about clinics and blood examination labs.

“This communication event has helped me understand and I will use it to myself to protect me and my family’s health” – Shared by a worker who took part in the event.

In order to maintain those positive profit from the event, these communication activities chain will be continually conduct in every third week of each month until the end of 2018.

Update April news: Until April 19 2016, POSCO and CHD have organized five communication events on HIV/AIDS and STIs prevention for 219 workers and officials. In this fourth monthly event, 80% of the participants have had better knowledge on HIV/AIDs and STIS prevention after the event.
